This Saturday December 21st will be another historic day in the history of the Colts as the first ever competitive game of rugby will take place in the town of Claremorris.
The Colts U14 team will take on Tuam RFC on the Mount St Micheal school pitch at 12pm. The game is only taking place due to the generosity of all involved with the secondary school who have granted permission to the club to erect posts on their grounds. The school have always been very supportive of the club and currently all Colts miniĀ training happens on these grounds every Saturday.
The club are also very thankful to all involved with Tuam RFC who allowed the Colts purchase these posts from them which ensured that this game can go ahead.
This game itself will be a keenly contested affair as both teams have been holding their own in the Connacht U14 league this season. The Colts manged by Kevin O’Malley and Micheal Toughey will be hoping to claim the win and ensure the U14’s become the first team to win a rugby game in the town of Claremorris.
