Registration for Claremorris Colts RFC’s 2010/2011 season will take place in the McWilliam Park Hotel this week. It is being held over two days – on September 15 and 18 – to give parents ample opportunity to come along.
On Wednesday September 15, children can be registered between 7pm and 9pm, while registration on Saturday, September 18, will take place from 11am until 2pm. The venue for both days is the Lambert Suite, which is located on the first floor in the McWilliam Park Hotel.
Time has really flown since the inaugural Colts RFC season came to a close last Easter and now, there is great excitement among the players – all anxious to return to the field. Training will commence on Saturday, September 25. And, with a great line-up of fixtures already organised, it certainly looks like it’ll be an action-packed season ahead!
This year, as well as Mini Rugby, the Colts will be holding training sessions for the older age groups. Training will be open to beginners as well as those who may have some experience of rugby. Whether your child/children played rugby with the Colts last year, or whether he or she is interested in joining the Club this year for the first time, they’d be more than welcome.
The Mini Rugby teams will be U-7, U-8, U-9, U-10, U-11 and U-12. The U-7 team is open to children from five years and up. For the older children, there will be training at U-13, U-14 and U-15 levels.
Registration for all levels and age groups will take place at the same time and the cost for the new season will be €90 per child (€150 for two siblings, €200 for three or more siblings). This will include a Club windsheeter and Club socks (or a Colts jersey for new members who do not already have a jersey).
Parents are asked to please bring along a copy of their child’s birth certificate for registration purposes if they have not already supplied this to the Club. Please note: it is absolutely crucial that children are registered this week, as they will not be able to attend training until the registration process is completed.
