On Friday night last, October 15, the Claremorris U-11 team played the Exhibition Game at half time of the Connacht Rugby game versus Bayonne at the Sportsground in Galway. The South Mayo side did their town, club and county proud on the night and a large crowd travelled from Claremorris to see them perform.
On Saturday morning, it was back to the Convent pitch in Claremorris for training and all sides, from U-8s right up as far as U-15s are continuing to progress well, ready and able for the season ahead.
Wednesday night will see the U-13s and U-15s continue training at the Race Track in Claremorris while on Thursday night, October 21, the U-10, U-11 and U-12 teams will travel to Dunmore to play the local side under lights at Dunmore RFC grounds. The games will kick off at 7pm and all players are asked to be there by 6.30pm.
On Saturday morning, it will be training as usual at the Convent pitch at 11am in Claremorris for underage players. Meanwhile, the U-13 and U-15 teams will begin their league campaign this Saturday.
