Colts U14s vs Carrick on Shannon

The U14s recorded a comprehensive win over Carrick on Shannon on Sunday. Congratulations to Paul Lyons on his first successful outing as captain. There were good tries from Brian McWalters, Cian Campbell, Oran McNulty, Jack Creighton and Jack Melvin. Well done to all the lads.

Colts U16s vs NUIG

The U16s traveled to NUIG for this game and the weather was kind for a change. Both sides were looking for a good game and were keen to establish dominance, particularly in the first half. The Colts were the first to score with Jack Neenan going over and Kyle Leonard adding the extras, this was quickly followed by Cian Quinn. NUIG then pulled a try back and that was how the first half stayed. HT NUIG 7 – 12 Colts.

As the second half kicked off the Colts opened up their running game with  Conor Toughey going over for a try after Leonard kicked a penalty. Not to be overrun NUIG scored two more tries while Leonard kicked 2 more penalties. While the Colts were in front, the game was still evenly balanced, But in the last quarter the Colts’ superior fitness took over and they ran in for 3 more tries (Thomas Kean and Cullam Rogers scored two of them). At the end it looked like a comfortable win for the Colts
